SEATTLE, WA – The UC Davis Indoor Track and Field team delivered notable performances at the UW Invitational over the weekend. Leading the way was Dani Barrett, securing a first-place finish in the 5000 meter race. The weekend set a positive tone for the remainder of the indoor track season.
Madison Kackley had a standout performance over the weekend, setting two personal records with times of 4:46.41 in the mile and 9:31.97 in the 3000 meter race, ultimately earning a notable 10th place in the latter event.
Dani Barrett dominated the 5000 meter event, claiming the top spot with an outstanding time of 16:23.58 – a personal record that added to the Aggies' success.
Hope Bergmark clinched an 11th-place finish in the 5000-meter race, posting a time of 16:56.99, making a substantial contribution to the team's overall performance
Freshman Kayla Rutz showcased her promising talent on the track, clocking in at 5:08.07 in the mile and 10:28.10 in the 3000 meter race.
Brooke Butler, another freshman on the team, exhibited strong determination in the 5000 meter race, finishing with a commendable time of 17:54.93.
