UC Davis field hockey is slicking the turf for its upcoming fall schedule under head coach

UC Davis 2023 Field Hockey Schedule
The Ags will begin the 2023 season with a five-game stretch on home turf. UC Davis' home opener will take place Saturday, Aug. 12 against the Olympic Club before facing the University of British Columbia, who the Ags haven't competed against since 2019. On Aug. 25, UC Davis will face Rutgers before facing Miami (OH) the following day. UC Davis goes to battle with Maryland to conclude its five-game home stretch on Aug. 29.
Next, the Ags will fly to the Midwest for three matches across Michigan and Ohio. To kick off its September slate, UC Davis lands in Ann Arbor for a premier match against Michigan. On Sept. 3 the Aggies hop one state over to Ohio for a bout against Kent State before a marquee match-up against Ohio State.
On Sept. 10, UC Davis makes a brief return to Northern California and the comforts of home turf, for its last non-conference game against Richmond.
Conference play begins on Sept. 15 when the Aggies fly to the east coast to take on Maine and start a five-game road trip. The Ags will oppose New Hampshire on Sept. 17 and return to the west coast for a battle with Stanford, in Palo Alto, on Sept. 22.
After two weeks, the Ags fly to New York to face the reigning conference champions UAlbany on Oct. 6. Then promptly have a match against the University of Vermont on Oct. 8 to end the five-game road trip.
UC Davis' final home game will be against local rivals Cal on Oct. 14. The Ags will have a quick turnaround when they travel to the Bay Area for a second outing against Cal on Oct. 21. The Aggies penultimate game of the season will see them travel to Massachusetts and battle UMass Lowell on Oct. 27. UC Davis concludes its regular season in Rhode Island with a match against Bryant on Oct. 29.
