DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis senior midfielder Mia Edwards and sophomore goalkeeper Addy Collingwood were named MPSF Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Edwards receives the honor after a prominent outing on offense for the Aggies, securing the game-tying goal against Bellarmine on Sunday, Sep. 6 to force extra time and converting her attempt in the shootout to help UC Davis secure the 2-1 victory. This marks Edwards' first career MPSF Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Collingwood receives the honor after a standout performance on defense for the Aggies, making five saves against Columbia on Friday, Sep. 4 and blocking two of four shootout attempts from Bellarmine to help elevate the Aggies to victory. This marks Collingwood's second career MPSF Defensive Player of the Week honor.



Collingwood continues to anchor the backline for UC Davis, bringing her total to 17 saves on the year as she builds on a strong start to the season.
