FULLERTON, Calif. – The UC Davis track & field team capped off the Big West Championship on Saturday at the Titan Track Complex.
Brianna Weidler completed the trifecta as she won the 5,000m with a time of 16:09.74. The victory tied together wins from the Big West Cross Country championship, the MPSF 3,000m win and now the outdoor title.
Sierra Atkins, fresh off her 10k performance, came back to finish as the runner-up with a time of 16:16.45.
Madison Kackley followed in fourth with a time of 16:42.62.Kackley also placed third in the 1,500m with a time of 4:28.54.
Also scoring for the Ags was
Joey Monti in fifth with a time of 53:45. The women's 4x4 relay team finished in fifth with a 3:46.94. The men were eighth with a 3:18.77.
The men's 4x100m relay placed fifth with a time of 41.63. The women's relay snagged a point with an eighth place finish, crossing the line in 47.67.
In the field events,
Sydney McCann cleared 12-3.50 in the pole vault to place seventh.
Rebel Tuinukuafe recorded a point by placing eighth in the shot put with a throw of 45-1.75.
Caveli Hensley cleared 6-5 in the high jump to place eighth.
