SPOKANE, Wash. – The reigning Big West 5,000m outdoor champion added another title to her impressive distance resume with the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation title in the 5,000m on Friday at The Podium in Spokane.

The time of 16:13.32 shattered the old indoor school record of 16:28.21 set in 2013 by Sarah Sumpter. Dani Barrett followed in the event with a sixth place showing, clocking a 17:19.84. Shae Hill was eighth at 18:00.15. The distance medley finished fourth with an 11:35.43.

In the field, Ashpreet Kler placed fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 55-05.00 (16.89m). In the pole vault, Sydney McCann and Sarah Graessley finished in sixth with clearances of 11-11.25 (3.64m). Chelsea Daye leaped to an eighth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 17-10.75 (5.45m).

The Aggies will return to the oval tomorrow for the final day of the MPSF Championship in sixth place with 30 points. The action will begin at 10 a.m.
