DAVIS – The UC Davis track and field team participated in two events on Friday and Saturday. The majority of the Aggies' squad traveled to Seattle for the UW Invitational while the distance runners traveled to Albuquerque for the UNM Team Open. 

For the second consecutive week, the Aggies placed high in the throwing events. Ashpreet Kler finished fourth with a throw of 57-08.25 (17.58m) – an improvement of three feet from last week's throw. Hailey Hernandez finished 11th with a 53-00.25 (16.16m) throw and Brena Videll finished 12th with a 52-06.50 (16.01m) throw.  

In the jumps, Sierra Meier had the best finish of the day for the Aggies as she finished sixth in the high jump with a 5-05.25 (1.66m) leap. Jayme Hendrickson had the same height jump and finished seventh. Elizabeth Churchill finished 18th with a 5-01.25 (1.56m) leap.  

In the long jump, senior Chelsea Daye finished eighth with a leap of 19-01.50 (5.83m). Kerrington Smith finished 25th with a leap of 17-07.00 (5.36m) and Hannah Crone wrapped up the Aggies' contingent in 31st place with a 16-11.25 (5.16m). Smith finished tenth in the triple jump with a leap of 38-09.50 (11.82m).    

On the track, in Seattle, Chloe Arriaga finished first in her section in the 1 Mile Run with a time of 4.53.73. In Albuquerque, the Aggie quartet of Alexys Ford, Maya Shinnick, Janae Oneal, and Chelsea Daye had the best finish of the day as they placed eighth overall in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:54.13.  

UC Davis will now have a couple weeks off before hitting the track again at the MPSF Championships. The meet will take place in Spokane, Washington at The Podium on February 17th-18th.
