LAST WEEK
The Aggies picked up a convincing win over CSUN on Jan. 11, defeating the Matadors 83-73 behind Tess Sussman's career-high 19 points. The graduate student also grabbed 10 boards to notch her second double-double of the season. UC Davis suffered a setback in the weekend matchup at Cal State Fullerton as the Titans caught fire, shooting 52% as a team to take down the Aggies, 67-51.

Freshman Nya Epps shined on a tough day for the Aggies, scoring a career-high 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting with two three-pointers.

SERIES HISTORY
The Aggies lead the all-time series against UC San Diego 14-5 and hold an 8-1 advantage inside the University Credit Union Center. UC Davis has won three of the four contests since the Tritons ascended to Division I. The two teams split the series in 2021-22, with the Tritons prevailing 59-56 in San Diego before UC Davis earned the 51-42 win in Northern California.

ABOUT THE TRITONS
UC San Diego has won three of its last four contests, including a 62-50 victory over CSU Bakersfield on Jan. 14. The Tritons are led by Sydney Brown who is averaging 13.4 points-per-game, making her the fifth-best scorer in the Big West.

NEARING HISTORY
Evanne Turner is just 47-points away from the 1,000-point plateau, which would make her the 22nd in school history to reach that marker. Cierra Hall was the last Aggie to accomplish the feat, reaching 1,000 career points just one season ago.

SHARPSHOOTER
Turner is the Big West's top three-point shooter by a wide margin. The junior has made 42 triples this season, 13 more than Jessica Grant of UC Santa Barbara who ranks second in the conference. Turner has also tallied a conference-best 2.8 three-pointers-per-game.

GROSS MOVES UP THE LADDER
With the win over William Jessup on Dec. 15, Jennifer Gross earned her 205th victory as head coach of the Aggies. With her win over CSU Bakersfield on Jan. 7, Gross tallied win number 206 and now stands alone in second place on the all-time wins list.

CLEANING UP THE GLASS
The Aggies lead the Big West Conference in defensive rebounds-per-game (27.2) and rank second in total rebounds-per-game (37.3). Tess Sussman leads the team at six boards-per-game.

NEXT TIME OUT
The Aggies head south for a two-game road trip, beginning with a contest at UC Riverside on Jan. 19 before a weekend meeting with Cal Poly on Jan. 21 in San Luis Obispo.
