STOCKTON, Calif. – The UC Davis men's golf team improved by eight strokes, firing a 6-under 282 on Tuesday at the NCAA Stockton Regional held at The Reserve at Spanos Park. After 36 holes, the Aggies sit in 10^th place with a 4-under 572.

Sophomore Lucas Carper posted the low round of the day, carding a 4-under 68 to move up to t-49^th. Carper feasted on the par-5s, sinking two eagles. His first came on the par-5, 6^th and then on the 16^th. On top of the two eagles, the San Jose native posted three birdies.

Classmate Mark Stephens paces the Ags after 36 holes with a 4-under 140 after another round of 2-under 70. After entering the turn with an even nine holes to start the morning, Stephens carded three birdies on the back nine to finish 2-under for the day.

Jacob Westberg follows in the standings t-37^th after a 2-over 74. The sophomore sank four birdies on the day. Senior Thomas Hutchison rebounded with a 1-under 71 and led the Aggies with seven birdies on the day, gaining momentum into the final round with three birdies on the final four holes to finish the back-nine at 2-under. The senior is t-53^rd at 3-over.

Sophomore Alejandro Nava also improved with a 1-over 73 to move to t-53 after 36 holes. Nava was in the red five times on Tuesday, sporting an even front nine en route to a 3-over 147 after two rounds.

The Aggies will look to move up the leaderboard tomorrow in the final round with a tee time of 8:55 a.m.
