IRVINE, Calif. – UC Davis sophomore
Lucas Carper was named the Big West Golfer of the Month the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Carper garners the accolade for the first time in his career and the honor marks the second straight month the Aggies have been recognized as
Thomas Hutchison won the award for his play in February.
The sophomore was the runner-up at the prestigious Goodwin tournament, carding a 12-under 198. The San Jose, Calif., native fired career-best rounds of 66, 65 and 67 to help lead UC Davis to an eighth-place finish.
In the first tournament of the month, Carper placed T-38 with an even-par 216 to help the Aggies place T-9
th at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic.
UC Davis will conclude its regular season with the annual El Macero Classic. The three-day event begins on Wednesday, April 20 at the El Macero Country Club.
