DAVIS, CALIF. – In his last regular season golf tournament wearing the Aggie uniform, senior Thomas Hutchison defended his home course, claiming the El Macero Classic individual title, Friday afternoon at the El Macero Country Club.

The Aggies concluded the three-day event with a 1-over 865. Fresno State won the team title with a 7-under 857.

Hutchison opened at even-par on the front-nine with a 36 and then carded a birdie on the par-5 15^th to finish the final round at 1-under.

Lucas Carper tallied another top-25 finish, following t-23^rd with a 1-over 217. The sophomore finished with a 1-over 73 in the final round.

Jacob Westberg finished t-30^th at 3-over 219, while sophomore Mark Stephens carded a 6-over 222 for the tournament, and classmate Alejandro Nava rounded out the Aggies with an 8-over 224.

As an individual, Shane Muldowney finished t-21^st with an even-216.

UC Davis will head to the La Quinta Country Club for the Big West Championship on Sunday, May 1.
