STANFORD, Calif. – The UC Davis men's golf team closed out the prestigious Goodwin tournament in eighth place Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course.

The Aggies fired a final round 280 (E) to finish 8-under 832 for the tournament. Sophomore Lucas Carper capped off his finest tournament as an Aggie with a 3-under 67, once again only carding one bogey on the scorecard to finish as the runner-up.

Senior Thomas Hutchison tied for sixth with a final round 68. Sophomore Mark Stephens finished t-57^th, shooting a 2-over 72 in the final round.

Sophomore Jacob Westberg was 4-over on the day to place t-115th, while classmate Alejandro Nava finished at 3-over on the final round to place t-126^th overall.

The Aggies will now head to Chandler, Ariz., for the Wyoming Cowboy Classic that will begin on April 4.
