STANFORD, Calif. – The UC Davis men's golf team opened The Goodwin t-15^th place after the first round of play at the Stanford Golf Course Thursday afternoon.

Senior Thomas Hutchison and sophomore Lucas Carper paced the Aggies with identical 4-under 66s to start t-8^th overall. The duo sank six birdies each on the par-70, 6,742-yard course. The 66 was a career-low score for Carper. 

Sophomore Mark Stephens fired a 4-over 74 to place t-115th, while classmate Jacob Westberg followed t-125^th with a 5-over 75. Sophomore Alejandro Nava rounded out the Aggies t-138 with a 9-over 79.

The Aggies will open the second round at 7 a.m.
