FRESNO, Calif. — Sophomore
Jackie Lucena finished with a 2-over 146, including shooting an even-par 72 in the opening round, to help the UC Davis women's golf team into a tie for fifth after the first two rounds of the Fresno State Classic at the Copper River Country Club on Monday.
The Aggies stand tied with Big West Conference rival Cal Poly in the position after both finished at 18-over for the day. Stanford led wire-to-wire during Monday's first two rounds, shooting a combined 8-under 568 to lead the host Bulldogs and Long Beach State by 12 shots.
At 10-under for the day, Fresno State's Harriet Lynch holds the individual lead, outscoring the Cardinal's Rachel Heck by three shots heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Lucena finished the back nine at 1-under thanks to birdies on the 13th and 16th holes, then parred out the remainder of her round en route to her 72. She finished her day with a 2-over 74 in round two, which included a birdie on the par-four ninth hole, ending the first 36 holes in a tie for 15th overall.

Andrea Gomez Lloret and senior
Skyler Wood currently sit in a tie for 30th at 5-over after the first two rounds. Gomez Lloret shot 74-75, while
Skyler Wood flipped the script with a 75-74 on the day.
One shot back is senior
Madison Wood, who shot 74-76 to stand in a tie for 37th at 6-over, while senior
Hannah Sun rounded out the scoring group in a tie for 58th at 11-over on the day, which included a run of three straight birdies on the 14th through 16th holes during her second round.
