SANTA CLARA, Calif. – UC Davis enjoyed a strong start to its non-conference match at the Degheri Tennis Center in Santa Clara, California, by winning the doubles round and two of the first four singles matches in Tuesday's dual against Santa Clara. Even though the Broncos were able to tie the overall score at 3-3, freshman Carly Schwartzberg stepped up with a clutch 7-6, 7-5 win versus Varya Zlotnik, which included an 8-6 first-set tiebreaker that ended in her favor, to lift the Aggies to a 4-3 victory.
