DAVIS, Calif. — Following successful years in the classroom and on the court,
Mika Ikemori,
Maya Youssef,
Isabella Bringas, and
Polina Marakhtanova from UC Davis women's tennis landed on the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, May 12. Ikemori was also considered for advancement to the Academic All-American ballot.
An All-Conference Singles and Doubles honoree, Ikemori played the majority of her season in court two, leading the Aggies with 13 singles wins with quality victories such as a power four win over Arizona on Jan. 16, a conference victory against Cal Poly on Feb. 1, and a postseason win against Hawai'i on Apr. 22.
With nine wins in singles and doubles during her senior season, Youssef served as a consistent player in courts two, three, and four, leading the Ags with five wins in court three.
Punctuated by a win against UC Irvine in February, Youssef strung together a five-match winning streak throughout the month that included wins against Saint Mary's, Santa Clara, and Nevada.
Playing as Youssef's primary doubles partner during the season, Bringas collected nine doubles wins, playing in both the second and third courts.
A consistent presence all season long, she took home back-to-back dominant wins against Nevada and San Jose State.
Leading the team with six Big West singles wins, Marakhtanova claims another accolade after winning All-Conference Singles and Doubles First Team honors in April.
Playing the majority of her season in court one, she ended her season strong with an eight game winning streak throughout the month of March and into the postseason, among those wins included a perfect 6-0 against conference foes, while her singles and doubles wins helped elevate UC Davis to it's first ever win on the road at Hawai'i on Apr. 11.
