Davis, Calif. - Senior Madison Theodore has added to her already lengthy UC Davis resume by getting named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches of America All-West Region Second Team on Monday. 

Theodore is the first woman in program history to be named to multiple NFHCA teams after she was selected to the All-West Region Second Team in 2019. 

Division I teams are separated into five regions: Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Northeast, South and West — each region honors up to 16 student-athletes on a first team and up to 16 student-athletes on a second team.

Her resume stretches as far on the field as it does off it.

On the turf, Theodore has been the centerpiece of UC Davis' offensive output. She led the team in goals in 2021, led in assists during the 2020 season that was played in the spring of 2021, and came on down the stretch of the 2019 season to lead the Aggies to a win over Cal that as a sophomore. 

From 2017-2021, Theodore appeared in the most games in Aggie history with 81 appearances in her career. 

She was a three-time All-America East Conference selection earning West Division All-Conference in 2019 and Second Team All-Conference in 2020 and 2021. 

In the classroom, she was a three-time All-America East Commissioner's Honor Roll selection, a two-time NFHCA National Academic Squad member, and was a 2019 NFHCA Scholar of Distinction. 

The NFHCA Division I All-Region team announcement is the first in a list of postseason awards to come from the NFHCA over the next several weeks. Next to be announced are the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year on November 29, they will be followed by the NFHCA All-American teams on December 14 and the NFHCA National Player of the Year on December 16.
