Box Score EUGENE, Ore. — Kicking off the three-day roadtrip through the Pacific Northwest, freshman Kristina Evloeva led the Aggies in a 6-1 loss to Oregon.
The Ducks took the lead from the start, winning doubles at Nos. 2 and 3. Featuring the same pairings as the home opener against Sonoma State, the Aggies put up a fight, with Shirley Hall and Kristina Breisacher dropping a 6-4 set at No. 2, and Yana Gurevich and Jessica Walker falling 6-3 at No. 3.
Top duo of Sara Tsukamoto and Lauren Ko held serve to get to 5-5 at the clinch.
In singles play, Oregon reeled off three wins to officially win 4-0 on courts one, three, and four. After the clinch, Evloeva outlasted her opponent to win 6-2, 6-4 for the only Aggie point on the day, and moves to a perfect 2-0 on the season.
UC Davis returns to action tomorrow against Puget Sound in a neutral site match at Portland's Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center at 2 PM.
