FRESNO, Calif. - Sophomore utility Sasa Antunovic shot a perfect 6-for-6 while senior Tennyson May, sophomore Ido Goldschmidt and sophomore Brock Gordon each added two goals, leading 10th-ranked UC Davis to an 18-6 victory over Fresno Pacific in Western Water Polo Association men's action at Sunnyside Aquatics Complex Sunday afternoon.

The Aggies improve to 13-4 for the year and remain unbeaten in conference at 3-0. The Sunbirds slip to 8-9 overall and 0-4 in WWPA play. Six other UC Davis players netted one goal each to round out the scoring: Cory Laidig, Marcus Anderson, Yurii Hanley, Holden Tamblyn, Eric Martel and Morgon Olson-Fabbro. Hanley also had three assists and a pair of steals. Goldschmidt earned three assists fto give him five total points in the contest. Junior Spencer Creed recorded eight saves in three quarters, then sophomore R.J. Quigley relieved him in the fourth for four blocks. Fifth-yar David Maes led FPU with a hat trick while sophomore center Kyle Eoff chipped another two. UC Davis never trailed in the contest. Antunovic scored a natural goal and a power-play conversion in a 3-0 start to the contest, the assisted Goldschmidt for another with less than a mintue later. In turn, Goldschmidt set up Laidig for a goal in the final seconds, propelling the Aggies to a 5-3 lead through the first quarter. UC Davis managed four unanswered in the second to extend that advantage to 9-3 by halftime, again with Antunovic scoring two goals and an assist for the frame. Laidig assisted on three of the Aggies' seven scores in the third to stretch the margin to 16-5 entering the finale. Martel and Olson-Fabbro netted goals in the fourth to keep UC Davis up by double digits. Overall, the Aggies shot 18-for-34 to the Sunbirds' 6-for-23 success rate. UC Davis also converted 6 of 8 power plays while defending on 8 of 13 extra-man opportunities against. The Aggies undergo a short week before hosting Air Force for continued WWPA action on Friday. First sprint at Schaal Aquatics Center is 1 p.m.
