FIRST SERVE: Fresh off a three-match sweep of the President's Day holiday weekend, the No. 70 UC Davis men's tennis team takes on another trio this weekend, completing a run that will see the Aggies play six times in 10 days. UC Davis opens on the road, traveling to the Bay Area to take on San Francisco on Friday (Feb. 20) at 11 a.m. at the Olympic Club, before returning home to host a doubleheader against Nevada and Sonoma State beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.

IN THE RANKINGS: The Aggies currently hold their highest ranking in the Division I history of the program, entering the week up two spots and tied for No. 70 with Georgia Tech in the latest ITA national rankings as of Feb. 17. San Francisco and Nevada are unranked, while Sonoma State enters as the No. 46 team in the nation and the No. 6 team in the West Region according to the ITA Division II rankings as of Nov. 3.

ABOUT THE DONS: San Francisco enters the week with a 1-3 record, having lost its last three contests since opening the season with a 7-0 shutout of Sonoma State… The Dons have fallen to California (4-1), New Mexico (4-2), and Cal Poly (4-3), heading into Friday's home match with UC Davis… Senior Bernardo Saraiva leads the team with a 9-3 overall record -- including a 3-0 mark at the No. 1 spot in the lineup this spring… Junior Vasco Valverde is second on the team with eight singles wins, splitting time between the No. 4 and No. 5 spots in the lineup… The doubles tandem of Saraiva and Nils Skajaa is an impressive 13-4 this season -- including a 3-0 mark this spring as USF's No. 1 tandem, ranking No. 31 in the nation according to the Feb. 10 ITA rankings.

ABOUT THE WOLF PACK: Nevada enters the week with a 1-4 overall record, going 1-2 last weekend with a win over Arizona (5-2) in between losses to Northern Arizona (5-2) and Tulane (6-1)… The Wolf Pack has yet to play a home match this spring, opening with eight straight on the road… Senior Moez Chargui leads the team with nine overall wins, but is just 2-3 in dual matches, playing mostly at the No. 1 spot in the lineup… Junior Ryan Andrada has a team-best three dual match wins this season, split between the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, having won three straight contests… The doubles tandem of Andrew Poustie and Fernando Sunago are a combined 11-5 this season, including 2-2 this spring.

ABOUT THE SEAWOLVES: Sonoma State enters the weekend with a 1-3 overall record and will host UC Santa Cruz on Saturday (Feb. 21) before heading to Davis… The Seawolves earned their first win of the year during a three-match trip to Hawai'i, defeating Hawai'i-Hilo (7-2) in between losses to #19 BYU-Hawai'i (9-0) and #2 Hawai'i Pacific (5-0)… The Aggies will be the second Division I opponent for Sonoma State after falling to Saint Mary's (6-1) in their spring opener… Sophomore Noah Lee leads the team with five overall wins and a 2-1 mark in dual matches at the No. 3 spot in the lineup… The doubles duo of Sullivan Roche and Matt Weeber are 3-4 overall this season, leading the team in wins.

SERIES NOTES: Dating back to the 1996-97 season, San Francisco has won 12 of the 13 meetings with UC Davis, including a 7-0 mark since the Aggies made the jump to Division I… The Dons edged UC Davis, 4-3, at the Marya Welch Tennis Center last season… The Aggies are 10-12 against Nevada, including a 1-6 mark at the Division I level… The Wolf Pack has won three straight in the series dating back to a 5-2 UC Davis win at home on Feb. 27, 2011… Nevada posted a 4-0 win over the Aggies last season in Reno in a match shortened by weather… UC Davis is a perfect 20-0 against Sonoma State dating back to 1996-97, including a 6-0 mark in dual matches… The Aggies posted a 7-0 shutout of the Seawolves last season at home, and has not surrendered a point since a 5-2 win on Jan. 27, 2012.

LAST TIME OUT: The Aggies posted a three-match sweep of its President's Day holiday weekend, winning 20 of a possible 21 points in wins over Sacramento State (6-1), Saint Mary's (7-0), and Holy Names (7-0). Following a two-week layoff due to weather, UC Davis swept through doubles and won five of six singles -- four of those in straight sets -- to down its Causeway rivals to kick-off the week, then won both doubles points and claimed 12 singles wins in straight sets in back-to-back shutouts of the Gaels and Hawks.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING: The win over Holy Names to close out last weekend gave the Aggies their sixth consecutive victory, tying the mark for the longest winning streak at the Division I level. Off to the best start in Division I history at 7-2, UC Davis won six straight last season from March 9-25 to set the mark, a run that included four shutouts in the six victories.

NO POINTS FOR YOU!: A stingy Aggie squad shut down Saint Mary's and Holy Names in identical 7-0 victories, posting back-to-back shutouts for the first time since blanking Eastern Washington and Hawai'i-Hilo on March 24-25 last season -- a feat they accomplished twice in 2014.

HOME, SWEET HOME: After posting an 11-3 mark at the Marya Welch Tennis Center, the Aggies have continued their success at home in 2015, remaining unbeaten at home at 3-0 thanks to their wins over Sacramento State and Holy Names. UC Davis has won four straight at home dating back to a 4-3 win over Air Force on April 5, and 14 of its last 15 dating back to a win over UC Riverside on Feb. 8, 2014.

"THE ONE WHERE ROSS KEEPS WINNING": Sophomore Jesse Ross extended his winning streak to five straight with his wins over Sacramento State's Tom Miller and Holy Names' Rafael Martinez, improving to 12-7 overall on the season and a team-best 6-2 in duals this spring -- all decided in straight sets -- winning seven of his last 10 overall.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING: Junior Adam Levie and freshman Tommy Lam each claimed their first dual match wins of the season in singles against Holy Names at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots in the lineup, respectively. Levie dropped only one game in defeating the Hawks' Patrick Johnson, 6-0, 6-1, while Lam took down Jonah Tahilan, 6-1, 6-2.

WEST COAST IS THE BEST COAST: The Aggies look to make it a sweep of their West Coast Conference opponents on Friday at San Francisco after last weekend's win over Saint Mary's improved them to 4-0 against their WCC brethren this season and extended their winning streak to five straight matches dating back to Valentine's Day last season (a 4-2 win over the Gaels).

DOUBLES POINT TAKEN: Coinciding with its six-match winning streak, UC Davis has clinched the doubles point in each of its last six contests. Prior to that run, the Aggies had won just one of nine possible doubles contests prior to their trip to Southern California for matches against LMU and Grand Canyon (one of which went unfinished against No. 30 Stanford), but have now won 15 of a possible 18 doubles contests (with one of those going unfinished against Santa Clara on Jan. 31). Last year, the Aggies took home the first point of the match in 12 of 24 contests (doubles was not played against Nevada due to weather) -- including a run of nine straight from March 2-30.

HE… COULD… GO… ALL… THE… WAY: The Aggies have continued a rather successful trend that saw them post a 44-28 (.611) record in three-set singles contests last season, posting a 24-18 (.571) record in such matches to start the 2014-15 campaign. Sophomore James Wade has led the way, thus far, with a perfect 7-0 mark in three-set contests, while classmate Bryce McKelvie follows right behind him with five wins in eight chances. Last season, junior Brett Bacharach led all UC Davis players with 14 trips to a decisive third set, finishing with a team-high nine victories.

2014-15 Aggies in Three Sets (sorted by wins):
James Wade: 7-0 (1.000)
Bryce McKelvie: 5-3 (.625)
Eli Whittle: 3-0 (1.000)
