Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calif. — UC Davis defeated Hawai'i, 4-0 at the Barnes Tennis Center to advance in the Big West Championships. The Aggies secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3, then carried that momentum into singles to clinch the shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Davis took control early in doubles play, as Dylan Paterson and Ivan Savkin opened with a 6-2 win at No. 1. Hawai'i answered on Court 2, but the Aggies quickly regained momentum behind Perry DiGiulio and Kaveh Taheri, who secured a 6-3 victory at No. 3 to clinch the doubles point. In singles, Lucas Bollinger extended the lead with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1 before Savkin added a dominant 6-1, 6-2 result on Court 4. Eduardo Gonzalez sealed the shutout with a three-set victory at No. 5, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, as UC Davis advanced with authority.
