DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis men's tennis student-athlete
Kaveh Taheri was named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, recognizing his accomplishments both in competition and in the classroom.
A 2026 First Team Singles All-Big West selection, Taheri finished the season tied for first on the team with a 13-6 overall singles record while primarily competing in court two, where he posted a 12-5 mark. He went 3-2 in conference play and added a 1-0 record in national competition.
Taheri closed the season on a four-match winning streak, highlighted by a victory over Sacramento State, while also helping lead the Aggies to appearances in the Big West Semifinals and the Golden State Invite. In doubles play, he advanced to the Round of 16 at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship alongside partner

College Sports Communicators began the distinguished Academic All-America® program in 1952 and has since honored more than 40,000 deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America® scholar-athlete honors. Among those earning distinction through the history of the program are major sports stars and some of the world's most accomplished individuals in medicine, business, science, and the arts.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® selections will be announced on June 2, 2026.
