Scott Gordon Captures NCGA Four-Ball Championship

May 11, 2004

DAVIS, Calif. - Scott Gordon, who last month completed one of the most remarkable season's by an Aggie golfer, and his partner, former Aggie Jason Boyd, won the Northern California Golf Association Four-Ball Championship at Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

The 54-hole event was held over a three-day span and is one of the four "major" amateur events of the NCGA. Gordon and Boyd tied a tournament record with their 19-under par total, taking a commanding six-stroke victory.

Gordon finished his Aggie career last month by shattering the school record with a 71.54 stroke average, almost a stroke and a half better that the old record of 72.90, set in 2003 by Jay Westerlund.
