Biography

2024 T&F: Competed in five meets during her freshman season...Posted two top-three finishes at the Causeway Classic...Reached the podium with a time of 1:01.60 in the 400m and finished second in the 4x400 relay...Set a new personal best in the 400m at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational with a time of 1:00.13.

John C Kimball HS '23: Rania ran cross country and track & field in high school was captain of both teams her junior and senior years. She took first place in the Valley Oak League finals for the 400m race in 2023. She finished her high school career with the following PRs: 100m (12.59), 200m (25.88), 400m (57.90), long jump (17' 5.5"), 2 miles (14:15.9), 3 miles (21:58.7), 4000m (17:50.6), 5000m (22.01.3). She concluded her 4 years as a jaguar with many all-league and all-section honors for her performances on the cross country course and track. She earned California Scholarship Federation and Scholar Athlete honors all 4 years. She was also on the honor roll.

Personal: Rania is from Tracy, CA and has 3 siblings; an older brother named Rumzi and 2 younger sisters named Dalia and Jenna. She is on the premed track and hopes to become a pediatrician. When she isn't running, Rania enjoys music, singing, and playing the ukulele, flute, or piano. Her non-sports hero is Motaz Azaiza. 

When asked why UC Davis, Rania responded "UC Davis has been one of my dream schools for the longest time. I was ecstatic to be able to attend with my dream major and do the sport I love!"
