2024 (Senior):
Made eight starts, playing in 12 games at wide receiver ... Ended the season with 607 total receiving yards on 65 receptions, snagging five touchdown receptions ... Averaged 50.6 yards per game ... Caught seven balls for 90 yards and one touchdown at Portland State (Oct. 5) ... Made eight receptions, finishing with 83 yards and one touchdown against Cal Poly (Oct. 12) ... Had back-to-back games with at least one receiving touchdown against Northern Colorado (Nov. 2) and at Montana (Nov. 9), collecting 84 receiving yards on 11 receptions over the two games ... Had a season-high 110 receiving yards on 11 receptions, snagging one touchdown in the NCAA FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals game at South Dakota (Dec. 14).

2022 (Sophomore): Played in 10 games and made two starts… Amassed 406 all-purpose yards… Caught 28 passes for 224 with one score… Rushed 20 times for 78 yards and four touchdowns… Returned 12 punts for 34 yards… Returned four kickoffs for 79 yards… Scored a pair of rushing touchdowns against San Diego (Sept. 17)… Posted a long kickoff return of 50 yards in that same contest… Hauled in five passes for 75 yards and a score against Idaho State (Nov. 5).

2021 FALL (Redshirt Freshman): Named Second Team All-Big Sky at the all-purpose position… Played in all 12 games… Used all over the field Tompkins was tied for the team-lead with six rushing touchdowns and ranked second on the squad with 448 yards on the ground… Caught 12 passes for 77 yards and threw 18 passes for 102 yards and one score… Returned two punts for 86 yards, including an 85-yard touchdown… Named Big Sky Root Sports Player of the Week (9/13) as a specialist after returning a punt 85 yards and also scoring on a three-yard run against San Diego (9/11)… Rushed six times for 63 yards and a score against Dixie State (9/18)… Recorded two rushing touchdowns on eight carries against Northern Colorado (10/16)… Ran for 76 yards and a score against Northern Arizona (11/6).

2021 SPRING (Redshirt Freshman): Earned team’s MIKE WISE AWARD as outstanding freshman... Saw action in all five games as a reserve QB and Wildcat... Completed 5 of 10 attempts for 52 yards and a touchdown, while rushing 17 times for 170 yards... Tied Lan Larison for team lead with 4 rushing TDs... Longest play of the year was an 86-yard rumble against Cal Poly that earned a spot in ESPN’s SportCenter Top 10... Most of his passing output came against Eastern Washington (4/3): 5-for-9 for 52 yards and a 6-yard TD strike to Carson Crawford at 1:51 in the 3rd quarter... Ran in 4-yard TD with :08 remaining against Idaho State (3/27), marking the program’s first game-winning touchdown in the final minute since 2010.

2019 (Freshman): Redshirted season... Earned two team honors: offensive recipient of George Belenis Award for outstanding redshirt, and 24 MOB strength & conditioning award.

CENTRAL HS '19: Ranked No. 36 out of 691 students in his class... Four-year Academic Letter Principal’s Honor Roll honoree for holding a GPA between 3.85-4.0… Central High School ended his sophomore season as section runners-up during his sophomore year, but won back-to-back section championships the following seasons… Led the Grizzlies to three straight Tri-River Athletic Conference titles… Set new school passing records, and a new section record for the most touchdown passes in a single season (65), regular season TDs (47), single-season passing yards (5,001), and regular season passing yards (3,438), all recorded during his senior year… Tompkins ended his high school career ranked No. 2 in Central Section history with 11,743 career passing yards and 138 career TDs… He was the only player in the nation to throw for 5,000 or more and rush for 1,000+ yards in 2018… Finished second in the nation in passing yards, touchdown passes and total yards… These attention-grabbing stats led to CHS Athlete of the Year honors… With Trent leading the team’s offense for three seasons, the Grizzlies posted a collective 36-5 (.878 pct.) record… Senior season honor roll included all-state, section and league MVP awards… During the 2017 season, Tompkins recorded 3,624 passing yards, 37 TDs and 500 rushing yards, which helped him earn all-state, All-Central Section and Tri-River Athletic Conference Offensive Most Valuable Player awards… Also competed for the school’s baseball and basketball teams.

PERSONAL: Trent’s father played college basketball and is a world champion BMX racer… His mother was a cheerleader at Fresno State.
