COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Freshman Trenton Stuart followed his collegiate debut with a 3-under-par 69 Sunday to remain tied for the individual lead and help UC Davis move into a tie for second after two rounds of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at Eisenhower Golf Club.

Stuart stands at 7-under 137 (68-69), tied with Colorado's Brandon Knight and UC Santa Barbara's Dylan Ma entering Monday's final round. The three share a one-stroke advantage over Wyoming's Brody Leid and Air Force's Grant Samuelson.

The Aggies posted their second consecutive 3-under 285 to reach 6-under 570, tied with Wyoming and Denver in the 18-team field. Colorado leads at 18-under 558, 12 strokes ahead of the Aggies, who sit one stroke ahead of fifth-place Air Force.

Stuart birdied Nos. 1, 3 and 5 to play the front nine in 3-under 33. He answered his lone bogey at No. 14 with a birdie on the par-4 15th, then closed with three pars. Through his first 36 collegiate holes, Stuart has eight birdies and just one bogey.

Ryan Firpo joined Stuart under par Sunday, improving three strokes with a 71 to move into a tie for 34th at 1-over 145. Treed Huang recorded a second straight even-par 72 and is tied for 28th at 144 alongside Shaun Nair, who followed his opening 71 with a 73.

Curtis Da Silva improved seven strokes from Saturday with a 73 and is tied for 78th at 9-over 153.

In the separate individual tournament on the Silver Course, Zhenxian Zhang shot a 1-under 71 to move into fifth at 3-under 141. Cooper Greenwood is tied for sixth at 2-under 142 after a 74, while Louis Grizot also shot 74 and sits 12th at 1-over 145. San Jose State's Joey Allan leads the 26-player field at 10-under 134.

UC Davis begins Monday's final round at 7:15 a.m. PT, with Stuart scheduled to tee off at 7:51 a.m. PT. Live scoring is available for the team competition and separate individual event.
