LAS VEGAS — Coming off of one of the most historical wins in program history, UC Davis volleyball sees freshman Isabella Umpierre take home two of three Old Trapper Mountain West Player of the Week awards. Umpierre has been named the conference's offensive player of the week and split freshman of the week honors with Air Force's Ella Vogel.

In three matches at last weekend's Snyder-Park Classic at Arizona State, Umpierre collected 40 total kills to lead the Aggie offense. In addition to her offensive prowess, she also played well on the defensive end of the court, with seven total blocks and 33 total digs. In five sets versus San Diego on Friday, she had a career-high 19 digs to go along with 13 kills for her second career double-double. Her 19 digs marked the most for an Aggie non-libero this season.

Among Mountain West attackers, Umpierre ranks second in the league at 3.19 kills per set and 99 total kills. She also cracks the top ten in digs per set at 2.23.

These performances in Tempe helped lead Umpierre and the Aggies to a four set win against No. 7 Arizona State on Thursday, marking the biggest win for the team in program history.

UP NEXT

The Aggies finish up non-conference play next week with three games against fellow Golden State opponents. The action begins at home on Wednesday, Sept. 16 versus the University of California at 6:00 pm PT. Pregame festivities will include a banner ceremony to celebrate the team's 2025 Big West Championship. All the action will be available to watch on MW+.
