HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ

- In the third, UC Davis outscored the Buffaloes 3-2, starting with a free position score from Ava Horrocks five minutes into the period.
- Smith followed that up with a score before Jane Fox cashed in from the free position spot, but the Aggies still found themselves down 6-10 entering the final quarter of action.
- UC Davis continued to attack all the way to the end of the fourth quarter, but were unable to find the back of the net throughout the period, as three goals from Colorado would give them a 13-6 victory.
