IRVING, Texas — After a dominating seven point win over Cincinnati to open conference play last Saturday, UC Davis lacrosse has received three weekly awards from the Big 12, the conference announced on Wednesday, Apr. 1.
Rhea Cosand was awarded the conference's Attack Player of the Week,
Emily Altshuler received Goalkeeper of the Week honors and
Ava Horrocks grabbed the Freshman of the Week award.
These honors were the first of the career for Cosand and the second of Altshuler and Horrocks' careers.
Coming off a career-high five goals in the non-conference finale against Marquette, Cosand led the Aggie offense for a second straight week, collecting three goals and four assists for seven points.
Following a career-high 11 saves last week, Altshuler put together another quality start in goal against the Bearcats, allowing only eight goals with zero in the first quarter. After a career-high 11 saves against Marquette, she smashed that record with 16 more stops on Saturday.
Among Big 12 goalkeepers, she ranks second with 74 total saves.
Collecting her third hat trick of the season on Saturday, Horrocks continues to get better throughout her freshman season, going for a season-high five points (three goals, two assists) against Cincinnati.
She currently ranks third on the Aggies with 17 total goals in 2026.
