HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- On the home team's first possession of the day, Cosand found the back of the net to give the Aggies the opening goal of the game.
- Two minutes later, Horrocks found Smith for her first of the day, giving Davis an early 2-0 lead.
- The Aggies continued to attack the Bearcats net with three more shots in the first, but had no goals to show for as the first quarter came to an end.
- Cincinnati responded quickly in the second, tacking on their first two goals on two possessions to tie the game early in the period.
- A minute after the Bearcats second goal, Fox cashed in her first of the day to regain the lead.
- After Cosand's second gave the Aggies another two goal lead, back-to-back scores from Cincinnati's Paige Selhorn made it 4-4 heading into halftime.
- Coming out of the break, the road team took their first lead off the fourth of the day from Selhorn.
- A 4-0 run was the response from UC Davis, with Lauren Picardi, Horrocks, Tory Agnew, and Catie McCauley each cashing in goals.
- The Bearcats tried to snatch momentum back on another goal, but a green card led to a powerplay goal from Smith that gave the Aggies a 9-6 advantage heading into the fourth.
- As Cincinnati switched out their goalkeeper to enter the fourth, Cosand secured a hat trick to extend the lead to four.
- From there, a six goal period for the Aggies gave hat tricks to both Fox and Horrocks, with Picardi tacking on her second as well.
- Cincinnati would add on two goals of their own, but six saves in the period from Altshuler stifled their offense as Davis would go on to win 15-8.
