DAVIS, Calif. - Showcasing her Aggie Pride on the international stage, former UC Davis lacrosse player Lauren Hart competed for her home country of Great Britain at the 2025 Lacrosse World Games in Chengdu, China, from Aug. 7-11.

"We are so proud of Lauren," said Aggie lacrosse head coach Suzanne Isidor. "She was a pleasure to coach and positively impacted the UC Davis program in so many ways.  It is great to watch her continue to make her mark at the next level."

The World Games, a multi-sport event that takes place every four years, features lacrosse as one of it's premier sports, with eight countries competing in this years event.

Hart, who was born in Salisbury, England, played well for a British team that went 2-2, which included a 5th place finish in the competition, leading the team with eight assists to go along with two goals for a total of 10 points, also picking up three ground balls.

A four-year letterwinner for the Aggies, Hart was a top-level contributor at the midfielder position, scoring 23 points in 17 starts. In her first collegiate game against Fresno State on March 13, 2021, she scored her first career goal, earning MPSF Rookie of the Week honors in the process. 

Her best season came as a junior in 2023, when she started 12 games for the Aggies with a career-high 17 points and 20 ground ball pickups.

"Representing Great Britain alongside my teammates at the World Games was an honour and an amazing experience." Said Hart, "Meeting athletes from all over the world, learning about China, and competing at one of the highest levels for lacrosse were all incredible opportunities for growth, athletically and personally." 

"However, I know I wouldn't have been able to reach these heights without my experience at UC Davis. Being part of the Aggie community shaped me into who I am today. Thanks to my teammates, Coach Suz, and many others, I learned invaluable lessons that I will take with me throughout my life, continuing to inspire me to reach higher and higher!"
