DAVIS, Calif. - Former UC Davis women's basketball player Mazatlan Harris has signed her first professional contract with McEvoy's Cavan Eagles in the Women's Super League in Ireland. Harris is the second graduating UC Davis basketball player to sign a professional contract this offseason.



While playing in the Irish Women's Division One league last season, the Eagles secured a championship season after an undefeated season, also winning the Women's Division One National Cup in January.

The team's success on the court led to a promotion to the Women's Super League for the 2025-26 season, the first time in club history that the Eagles have played at the highest level of competition in Ireland.

Coming to UC Davis in 2020 after a successful high school career at Cathedral Catholic in San Diego, Harris was a five-year contributor for the Aggies, playing on the team's Big West Champion team during her freshman season in 2021. 

As a fifth-year senior this past season, Harris had her best campaign, averaging almost six points per game while playing a career-high 27 minutes per game. Against Stanford on Nov. 13, she had her best offensive game in her career, scoring 17 points with three made three-pointers.
