DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis men's soccer program on Friday officially announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season.
Fresh off a 2024 NCAA Tournament appearance and Big West Championship victory, the Aggies will begin their title defense with the season opener on Aug. 21 at San Francisco.
The 18-match slate features eight home games at Aggie Soccer Field, including a conference championship rematch against UC Santa Barbara on Oct. 8. The Aggies will face a total of four 2024 NCAA Tournament participants: Washington (Aug. 28, away), Stanford (Aug. 31, away), Seattle (Sept. 13, home) and aforementioned Big West rival, UC Santa Barbara.
A challenging non-conference road stretch opens with four consecutive away matches: Aug. 21 at San Francisco, Aug. 24 at Santa Clara University, Aug. 28 at Washington and Aug. 31 at Stanford.
After four straight games to begin the season on the road, the Aggies host their home opener on Sept. 3 against Saint Mary's, followed by another road game at Utah Valley on Sept. 10. Following a short trip to Utah, the Aggies host a trio of September home matches which include Seattle (Sept. 13), Pacific (Sept. 18) and San Jose State (Sept. 24).
Big West Conference play begins Oct. 1 at defending regular-season champion Cal Poly, with the conference home opener Oct. 8 against UC Santa Barbara — a rematch of last year's tournament final. Other key home dates throughout Big West action includes CSUN (Oct. 11) and UC Riverside (Oct. 18).
Other road matches throughout Big West play for the Aggies consist of trips to UC San Diego (Oct. 4), Cal State Bakersfield (Oct. 15), UC Irvine (Oct. 22), and Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 25).
The regular season concludes Nov. 1 against Causeway rival Sacramento State before the Big West Championship which will take place at campus sites from Nov. 5-14.
