DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis men's soccer's
Luke Goodman and
Noah Schwengeler were selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, an acknowledgment reserved for student-athletes who hit high marks in both academic performance and match impact.
To qualify, honorees must hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA from the most recent term and appear in a minimum of 75 percent of matches as core contributors.
Goodman served as the central piece of the Aggie back line, starting all 19 contests and leading the roster with 1,692 minutes. He anchored a defensive unit responsible for three shutouts and helped UC Davis generate a 290 to 257 shots advantage across the season. The senior added one assist and earned his first career All-Big West nod.
Schwengeler handled goalkeeping duties in 18 matches, totaling 1,496 minutes and recording 59 saves which ranked second in the Big West. He closed the year with a 0.728 save rate, a 1.32 goals-against average and three shutouts while facing 230 shots.
