- UC Davis advanced to the Big West Championship Semifinals after a 0-0 draw and 5-4 shootout victory over Cal State Fullerton in the opening round.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
- Saturday's matchup is a rematch of last year's Big West Championship Final, which the Aggies won 2-0, and mirrors the 2021 semifinal that UCSB won 1-0 in double overtime.
- The Gauchos secured the Big West Regular Season title and top seed with a 1-1 draw at CSUN, playing a man down from the 41st minute before Zac Siebenlist scored the equalizer.
- UC Davis and UCSB also played to a 0-0 draw earlier this season in Davis. UCSB goalkeeper Owen Beninga made two saves in that match, while Aggie goalkeeper Noah Schwengeler stopped six shots to keep the Gauchos off the board.
