The short story: 20 saves from
Ally Richardson-Pepper tied for the second-most in a single game in program history. However, the UC Davis lacrosse team fell in their penultimate regular season game against the Colorado Buffaloes on Sunday, Apr. 20.

OPENING DRAWÂ
- Richardson-Pepper had another stout defensive performance, logging 14+ saves for the sixth time this season. Her 20 saves also tie her with Kate McCall for the second-most in a single game. McCall previously had 20 saves against Notre Dame back on March 9, 1998.
- Alex Agnew led the offensive effort with three goals and one assist, cashing in on her fifth hat trick of the season.
- Lauren Picardi and Jane Fox also had multi-point games, cashing in on two goals each.
- Playing collegiately in her hometown for the first time, Cami Johnson got on the board for her 11th goal of the season.
- The defense of Katie Jones led to a team-high four ground balls to go along with two caused turnovers.
- Freshman Audrey Carr led in the circle with a career-high four draw controls.
- Defense was the name of the game in the second half for the second straight contest, with the Aggies holding Colorado to only three goals in the final 30 minutes.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- After an 8-0 run began the contest for the Buffaloes, a pass from Grace Gebhardt gave Agnew and the Aggies their first of the game with 10 minutes left in the 2nd.
- At halftime, Davis found themselves down 12-1.
- Four minutes into the third, Alannah Scott used a free-position goal to heat up a 3-1 quarter for the Aggies.
- Despite goals from Fox and Agnew, the Ags found themselves down 13-4 going into the last 15 minutes.
- Less than a minute into the fourth, Fox logged her second of the afternoon to cut the deficit to eight.
- Agnew then took a free-position shot to secure her third goal.
- Colorado would take back-to-back scores to push their lead back up to nine before two straight goals from Picardi made it 15-8.
- With 22 seconds left, Johnson capped off the scoring for the Aggies, who would fall short 15-9.
