The short story: Shaun Nair paced the Aggies during the final round of the El Macero Classic, firing a team-best 1-under 71 highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 13th.
Louis Grizot emerged as UC Davis' top finisher, tying for 12th place, while the Aggies placed 11th as a team on their home course.
OFF THE TEE BOX
- UC Davis posted an 18-over 306 in Sunday's final round to finish 11th, while tournament champion UC San Diego closed with a 5-over 293 for a 54-hole total of 1-over 865
- San Francisco's Oscar Holm-Bredkjaer took home the hardware as the top individual finisher, closing the weekend with a 2-under 70 to finish at 6-under
- Nair delivered the Aggies' low round of the day, carding three birdies and an eagle to vault 22 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 60th
- Grizot's T12 finish marked a career-best performance, surpassing his previous high of 13th as an individual at The Prestige and his prior team-best finish of 26th
- Lequan Wang (T44, +10), Curtis Da Silva (T65, +14), and Zack Tarter (T79, +20) rounded out the Aggies' lineup
- Competing as an individual, Treed Huang carded a 2-over 74 with two birdies Sunday to finish T56 at 12-over 228 for the tournament
