Tory Agnew came off the bench to score her first career goal as the UC Davis lacrosse team fell in a neutral site battle to the Mercer Bears on Friday, Mar. 7.

OPENING DRAWÂ
- The Aggies effectively spread their offense to a number of attackers, with Ella Brislin, Lauren Picardi, Alex Agnew, and Grace Gebhardt each nabbing two goals.
- Gebhardt and Alex Agnew also collected an assist each for a team-high three points.
- Brislin was effective on the defensive end as well, picking up a game-high five ground balls, causing a turnover and winning a draw control.
- Annie Cimperman and Gebhardt were dominant in the middle, winning five and six draw controls respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Five minutes into the first, Alannah Scott took the free position attempt to a 1-0 lead for the Aggies.
- The Bears responded quickly, rattling off three straight before Cami Johnson took the ball from Kate Sullivan to make it 2-3.
- Mercer got another goal, but Gebhardt found the back of the net to keep it within one after the first quarter.
- Down two early in the second, Tory Agnew took a free position shot of her own for her first goal as an Aggie.
- After four more goals from the Bears, Alex Agnew assisted on Scott's second score to put Davis within four going into halftime.
- Down 5-15 late in the third quarter, the Ags rattled off three straight to end the period.
- UC Davis scored the games last three goals, including one from Alex Agnew off the assist from her sister Tory, but the Aggies comeback would fall short as they would lose 11-18.
