Box Score SEASIDE, Calif. – During the final non-conference matchup of the season for the Aggies, senior
Kelly Hungerford captures the UC Davis title for career assists.
The number one spot in the books has been home to former athlete Jessica Dunn's record of 140 from her 2010-2013 seasons. Hungerford tied Dunn's number with the first goal of the game versus the Otters, where she gave sophomore
Bridget Miller the perfect pass for a goal within the first minute of play.
Just two minutes later, she set her name in stone with her 141st assist wearing an Aggie cap to set sophomore
Sadie Henry up for a goal to pull the team ahead 3-1. Lassoing up an impressive seven points in the game, Hungerford's arm was ablaze as she made five assists and two goals against the Otters. Now, with four more games before the Big West tournament, she sits at 145 and counting.
"Kelly has a lot of pride in setting up her teammates and delivering great passes" praises head coach Kandace Waldthaler. "It is a testament to her high water polo IQ and her unselfish play. It is really cool to see her break this record."
