The short story: UC Davis concluded The Prestige at PGA West with a 23rd place finish while
Lequan Wang shined on day three, carding a 3-under 68 to place within the top-20 of the stacked field.
OFF THE TEE BOX
- Wang carded six birdies in his final round of the tournament
- Starting on hole 10 with a birdie, he finished with three on each half of the course, while only having two bogeys
- Zack Tarter was UC Davis' second best performer on day three, carding three birdies during his even par 71
- Overall on the tournament though, it was Treed Huang who finished second among Aggies, finishing tied for 78th
- Huang had the second most birdies among Aggies, as him and Wang both began their day with a birdie on 10, with Huang making it two consecutive after also getting a birdie on 11
- Curtis Da Silva rattled off six straight pars before carding one of his two birdies on the day
- Despite the strong start, Da Silva finished the round at 6-over 77
- Shaun Nair rounded out the Aggie lineup with a 10-over 71
- San Diego claimed the team and individual titles on the week, with Ryan Abaun's 11-under pacing the field
- San Diego ran away with the win as a unit at 29-under while Texas Tech finished in second at 13-under
- Individually, Louis Grizot climbed 13 spots on the leaderboard after carding a 2-under 70
- Grizot placed tied for 13th among 39 competitors
