GAME NOTES
  • Season Record: The Aggies are 15-5 on the season and 11-1 in conference play. The team swept UC Riverside at home on Tuesday before winning in four against Hawai'i on Thursday night. The team's win against Hawai'i marks the first home victory over the Rainbow Wahine since 2013 and the program's first-ever regular-season sweep of the team.
  • Among The Best In The Nation: Now up to 11 conference wins, the Aggies have continued to climb the NCAA RPI rankings throughout the season. Davis enters the week at #54 in the nation, up from 55th last week.
  • Gunning Towards Aggie History: Cal Aggie Hall of Famer Kathy DeYoung set the precedent for UC Davis volleyball with 169 career victories, a program record that has stood for nearly 40 years. Now, head coach Dan Conners is closing in on that milestone, currently at 166 career wins — just four shy of becoming the winningest coach in program history.
  • Big West Standings: At 11-1 in Big West play, the Aggies continue to outpace Cal Poly and Long Beach State in the Big West rankings, who each sit at 10-2. UC Davis plays Long Beach State one more time this season on Nov. 14.
  • Big West Player of the Week Awards: For the third time this season, UC Davis has claimed two Big West Players of the Week awards, with Jade Light being awarded the conference's Offensive Player of the Week and Mia Starr being named the Setter of the Week on Monday. Light's accolade came off 32 kills across the two matches played, including a 19-kill, 13-dig double-double versus Hawai'i. Meanwhile, Starr was named the Setter of the Week for the third time this season after a double-double of her own against the Rainbow Wahine with 46 assists and 12 digs.
  • Block Party: Middle Blockers Ally Chandler and Allie Caldwell have set the Aggies up for success on the defensive side of the net, with Caldwell sitting in first place with 80 blocks and Chandler close behind with 77. Each player also ranks in the top ten in the conference in blocks per set, with Caldwell sitting in first (1.26) and Chandler ranking fifth (1.08).
  • Super Setter: Senior Haden Bones has taken a step up at the setter position in 2025, leading the Aggies with 28 service aces on the season, also ranking third in the conference in aces per set (0.38)
  • Leading Libero: In her first season as the Aggies libero, Ximena Cordero Barr has been a difference maker for the defense, protecting the backcourt with 322 digs on the season. The former All-Freshman also ranks second in the Big West Conference with 4.35 digs per set.
  • A Starr On The Court: After being named an All-Big West Honorable Mention a year ago, Mia Starr continues to impress in her junior season, putting up 761 assists and surpassing 2,500 assists in her career earlier this season. Among Big West setters, she ranks first with 10.28 assists per set.
  • Breakout Season: After spending last season battling injuries, third-year player Brooke Hibino has started to shine for the Aggies, currently ranking fourth on the team with 156 kills on the year. Against Santa Barbara earlier this season, she set a new career-high with 18 kills in a five-set comeback win.
  • 2024 Recap: UC Davis went 19-10 and finished third in the Big West.
  • 2025 Poll: Aggies were picked third in the Big West preseason coaches' poll, receiving 75 points.

SEASON NOTES
