Madison Sparre and senior
Sam Yoo ended the day with four goals each. Sophomore
Chelsea Johnson led the team in assists with three, and redshirt Junior
Gianna Nocetti was an all-around threat; logging three goals, two assists, and won five of six sprints - winning all four versus the Stanford Cardinal.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED (UCLA):
Junior
Madison Sparre was quick on the draw against the Bruins, her shot finding the back of the net in the first thirty seconds of play. Sparre quickly put a second goal away in the first quarter, holding her own versus the Bruin charge. Sophomore Ali Giusti beat the expiring clock with a goal in the final four seconds on the powerplay, making the score 3-4 after the first quarter.

Sadie Henry came in with energy and tied up the score 4-4 early in the second quarter. She repeated the action, collecting a second goal.

Goalkeeper
Eva Stein collected four blocks in the first half, while
Lucy Holland collected five saves; shutting down the Bruin scoring attempts.
Kelly Hungerford,
Lillie Vehling, and
Liberty Massman also tallied up a block apiece.

Hungerford and sophomore
Chelsea Johnson also registered two assists each to fuel the Aggie offense.
Gianna Nocetti also added two goals to the tally and
Sam Yoo converted a penalty shot in the fourth quarter. Freshman
Georgia Daly drew a team-high of two exclusions versus UCLA's defense.

HOW IT HAPPENED (STANFORD):
Madison Sparre broke the seal and scored the first goal for the second game in a row, following with
Sam Yoo finding the cage soon after.

Gianna Nocetti was quick at the jump, going 4-0 on the sprints versus the Cardinal to give her team the first possession of the ball. She also is credited for a goal, an assist, and a steal.

Sophomore dynamic duo
Bridget Miller and
Ashley Wallin both registered a goal and a steal against Stanford, aiding the team in their climb back up the offensive ladder.

Sparre and Yoo ended up with two goals apiece, and center
Alison Giusti converted her second goal of the day in the game against the Cardinal.

UP NEXT: The Ags will be traveling down to Southern California to start the new month in San Diego and compete in the Triton Invite. The three-day showdown begins on Friday, January 31st versus Loyola Marymount and will continue through Sunday, February 2nd.
