Â
The Importance of Stump: The meet itself is named in honor of Sarah "Stump" Sumpter, a former Aggie who was battling a cancer diagnosis while enrolled as a student-athlete for the cross country team. "The team takes great pride in running as tough and as hard as they can in Sarah Sumpter's memory," head coach Emma Petersen praises.
Â
"They wore their uniform with pride and ran for Stump, and we look forward to seeing what these great young Aggies will keep doing the rest of the season."
Â
UP NEXT: The Aggies will travel down to Stockton, California to partake in the Pacific Invite on September 20th for an exciting evening meet.
