- Leo Metzger began his round with a birdie and eventually settled in with an even-par 72 like Huang
- Metzger carded three birdies on the day, and is tied for 24th in the field
- Alejandro Nava and Mark Stephens rounded out the Aggie lineup on the day, and joined Metzger in carding three birdies throughout their rounds
- Nava fired a 2-over 74, and has been a key contributor to the Aggies consistent play, ranking third amongst Aggie teammates in pars through two days
- Stephens used a steady front-nine to pace his 3-over 75 round, recording pars on eight straight holes before carding all three of his birdies on the back-nine
FIRST TEE (ROUND ONE)
- Carper slotted as the top Aggie on the board, recording a pair of birdies on both the front and back nine
- Carper stood as the lone Aggie under-par, as the senior is at 1-under 71
- UC Davis as a team had the most pars in the field with 58
- Treed Huang bounced back after a difficult fourth hole, and finished day one tied for 20th place
- Huang was tied for the best scoring average on par 3s in the field during the round
- Following right behind was Alejandro Nava who is tied for 28th, as well as Leo Metzger and Mark Stephens who are both tied for 32nd
- Metzger delivered the highlight of the round for the Aggies, carding an eagle on the lengthiest hole at La Quinta Country Club, a 543-yard par 5
