DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis women's lacrosse team fell in their final home game of the season, 21-8, against No. 18 Stanford on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinal got out to a hot start and never looked back, building a commanding 9-0 lead in the first quarter. The Aggies scored twice in the first, a Grace Gebhardt score on a nice feed from Natalie Markman, and a goal by Ella Brislin.

Gebhardt scored her second goal shortly after, but two more Stanford scores pushed the lead to 13-4 with six minutes left in the half.
Gebhardt finished a hat trick, while Reese Loseke found the back of the net as well. Stanford scored again before the break, making the deficit nine goals, 15-6.
Stanford scored the four of the next five goals, with Gebhardt getting her fourth of the day to briefly break up the visitors' run. Brislin put in the lone UC Davis fourth quarter goal.
