DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis women's lacrosse team will look to return to their winning ways against the Butler Bulldogs on Saturday, Mar. 9 at 1:00 p.m. The Aggies dropped their last contest, a neutral site game with No. 11 Florida, 21-7.

ABOUT THE AGGIES
Despite Wednesday's defeat, the Aggies (5-2) are off to their best start to a season since 2014 with five wins in their first seven games.
UC Davis picked up two wins last week, a Tuesday night victory over St. Bonaventure and a Sunday afternoon win against Davidson College. The Aggies won both games 13-9. Grace Gebhardt was named as the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week after posting eight goals on nearly 73 percent shooting, two assists and two draw controls. Gebhardt has a team leading 18 goals and 8 assists and is shooting 51 percent from the field.
Ella Brislin is the Aggies' second leading scorer with 14 goals on the season, following her two goal outing against Florida. Cami Johnson and Rhea Cosand each have 13 on the season. Defensively, Sierra Lizerbram has collected 13 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers. Ashley Laing recently moved into second all-time in UC Davis program history with 438 career saves. Laing is averaging 10 saves per game and has recorded 15 or or more saves in a game twice this season.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Butler (1-4) enters Saturday's game on a four game losing streak, after falling to Ohio State 17-10 in their last time out. The Bulldogs are led by senior midfielder Leah Rubino, who has filled up the stat sheet with 17 goals, 10 ground balls, 23 draw controls and eight caused turnovers. Butler finished sixth in the Big East in 2023 with a 5-10 overall record.
