Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The UC Davis women's lacrosse team (5-2) suffered a neutral site defeat at the hands of No. 11 Florida, 21-7, on Wednesday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gators had it going from the opening whistle, scoring three times in the first four minutes of the contest. Ella Brislin and Grace Gebhardt scored two of the next three goals to bring UC Davis within two, but that was as close as the Aggies would get. 

The Gators finished the first quarter ahead 10-3, then shut UC Davis out in the second quarter to head into the half ahead 16-3. 

Rhea Cosand, Reese Loseke and Catie McCauley each scored before the final buzzer sounded. 

Brislin and Gebhardt each finished with two goals, while Ellie Raffo logged an assist. In the goal, Ashley Laing made 15 saves, increasing her season tally to 70. The fifth-year goalkeeper is second all-time in program history with 438 career saves.
