EUGENE, Ore. —
Grace Gebhardt scored four goals, but it was all Ducks, all afternoon as Oregon moved past the Aggies (8-4, 1-2 Pac-12), 17-7, on Saturday in Eugene.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Looking for their first Pac-12 win of the season, Oregon stormed out of the gates, netting eight first quarter goals before the Aggies could muster a response.
Natalie Markman broke up the Oregon scoring run off a pass from Rhea Cosand, but Oregon got right back on track, scoring twice more to take a 10-1 lead into the quarter break.
Gebhardt scored on a free-position shot in the second quarter, but Oregon added two more to increase their advantage to ten at the half.
Ellie Raffo tossed in a free-position score to start the second half, but the Ducks countered with two scores of their own. Down 14-3, Gebhardt started to get it going offensively, scoring the Aggies' fourth and fifth goals of the game.
Gebhardt and Markman each scored again in the fourth quarter, but the Oregon lead proved sturdy, as the Aggies drew no closer than ten goals.
WHAT TO KNOW
Gebhardt's four goals mark her 18th career hat trick, which places her in sole possession of ninth place in the UC Davis record books. The junior attacker is up to 97 career goals.
