Aggies Visit Oregon, Aim For Second Pac-12 Win

DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis women's lacrosse team is back on the road for a Saturday afternoon Pac-12 showdown against the Oregon Ducks at Papé Field in Eugene.

LAST TIME OUT
The Aggies (8-3, 1-1 Pac-12) picked up their first Pac-12 win last weekend, defeating San Diego State for the second time this season, 15-12. Ella Brislin led the way for the Aggie offense, recording five goals for the second time this season. Rhea Cosand and Natalie Markman provided offensive support, each logging hat tricks. 

In the goal, Ashley Laing turned away 13 Aztec shots, marking the sixth time this season the senior registered double digit saves. Laing is the Aggies' second all-time leading goalie, with 481 career saves.

Defensively, the defensive tandem of Katie Jones and Sierra Lizerbram combined for six ground balls and four caused turnovers.

ABOUT THE DUCKS
Oregon (6-3, 0-2 Pac-12) are motivated to pick up their first win in league play, having dropped their most recent conference matchups with Cal and Stanford. Midfielders Morgan McCarthy and Anna Simmons lead the Ducks offense. McCarthy has 26 goals to lead the team, while Anna Simmons has 25 this season. Attacker Lauren Rismani has 10 goals and 20 assists. 

HISTORY
The Aggies trail Oregon in the all-time series, 8-14, though the Aggies have won five of the last six matchups. Most recently contest, Oregon defeated UC Davis 13-12 in overtime.
