CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Aggies rolled to their third and fourth straight wins on Sunday to finish the Harvard Invitational undefeated. UC Davis moves to 6-12 ahead of their first conference matchup on Saturday. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Davis began the day against Siena College, quickly building a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. Both sides added a tally in the second quarter to go into the half at 4-1. 

The Aggie offense got rolling in the second half, putting in three goals in the third quarter and four in the fourth. Defensively, the Aggies limited the Saints with impressive effectiveness, allowing just one goal in the second half, finishing the game with an 11-2 win.

Nine Aggies found the back of the net, with Gianna Nocetti and Grace Pelkey leading the scoring with two goals each. 

Maddie Sumner, Madi Sparre and Ashley Salem each recorded two assists, while Bridget Miller  drew five exclusions. Nellie McAdams made eight saves and made two steals. 

Neither offense needed any warming up in the final game of the weekend, as UC Davis and La Salle combined for eight goals in the opening period. Sam Yoo put in two scores to help the Aggies build a 5-3 lead. 

UC Davis extended their lead to 7-3 in the second quarter with goals from Sumner and Ryan Sund. 

The Aggies forced a defensive battle in the second half, holding the Explorers to one goal in each of the final two quarters, while Sam Yoo scored the Aggies one and only second half goal to seal the deal in the fourth, 8-5. 

Yoo finished with a hat trick to lead all scorers, while Pelkey had an outstanding all-around performance with an assist, three steals, two field blocks and three ejections drawn. 

McAdams was once again stout in the goal, saving eight shots.

The Aggies return to Davis to begin conference play on Saturday, March 2 against UC Santa Barbara. The opening sprint is planned for noon.
