WHAT HEAD COACH DAN CONNERS HAD TO SAY
"Another excellent defensive effort from our group. Really proud of how we played, our consistency, execution of our systems and game plan was on point. Our passers did a great job allowing Mia [Starr] to run a very balanced offense putting our hitters in great situations to score. Again, Liv [Olivia Utterback] led us offensively with 17 kills hitting .378. Overall, it was a great weekend for the group. We have got to recover quickly as we have a quick turn around for our Tuesday match up at home with UC Riverside."

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Aggies would dominate the first set, while always being in the lead, and finishing 25-14

  • The Gauchos would fight to come back and win the second set 21-25 forcing the Aggies into too many attack errors

  • Set three would be a battle between both teams in the beginning with the Aggies eventually finding their footing and coming out on top 25-18

  • The last set would be the longest in the match, as UC Santa Barbara would fight to get back into the game

  • The Gauchos would make the most errors in the fourth set ultimately losing out to the Aggies 25-22

  • The Aggies would play four set points in the last set to take the win over the Gauchos
